The FA would revoke thier license so they no longer be able to play and the money they make from the SL int enough to keep them major attractions without the PL and CL money.
If they left entirely, we would not have enough money either.

Also, if they left entirely, they could probably expand ESL and take a significant slice of the PL sponsorship / tv money. We need them and they need us.

Putting them in a position where we are fighting for their survival is not sensible.

lm fine with punishment, but not so deep that it hurts Everton a# well.

How? They have no licence to play as the fa would revoke it, they can’t play in this country

Of course they can.
They are just not playing in FA sanctioned competitions.

No doubt, the football authorities would impose sanctions which would then be thoroughly challenged.

UEFA and FIFA would not be guaranteed victory by any means and national bodies may be left with the awful decision of supporting FIFA and losing their own international players or opposing FIFA to have the players available for international competition.

Unfortunately the 14 would suffer as much if not more from that. It's just the way it is. It's not a lie.
This is the situation I’m afraid.

Those six have a combined turnover of about £2.8bn. The other 14 have a combined turnover of about £1.7bn. If the six are not in the PL, the revenue available to the 14 will fall further.

TV revenue is split amongst all the teams at present and doesn’t go just to the main ones generating it. If those six are not in the PL then the TV revenue would fall significantly.

To put this situation in context, the combined number of Facebook followers for the six is 182m. The combined number of Facebook followers for the rest is 25m. That means the six have about 88% of the global following.

United have 73m followers, Everton have 3m.

The quickest way to ruin ourselves will be to push them out of the league.

Their profile would diminish very quickly if they took part in a "Super League". The best players in the world want to play for their countries, if that is taken away from them then theses clubs will not be able to attract those type of players and interest in the Super league would fade rapidly.

The view you are taking is very much short-term. The PL and the CL will continue to flourish with or without these teams.

That point is moot.

The players and clubs in the ESL would legally challenge the sanction to ban players. It would be a very uncomfortable position the UEFA and FIFA would be in. Besides, FIFA, may not follow suit. It’s a European issue after all and they may leave UEFA to dangle. Why would South American federations back banning their own players from international competitions? ESL is not their problem.

The initial legal actions would prevent the sanction from being imposed until the main case is determined, which could run on for years. In the meantime ESL would be up and running while the damage done to the remaining leagues diminishes them.

and if FIFA/UEFA don't recognise it and ban players from the WC/Euros, they wont have the best players, it will be a euro version of the American soccer show
Football exists without the FA. ESL is just a non sanctioned competition with all the worlds best players.

I agree it’s a very bad idea, bug you don’t need a license to play.

Nah - you’re making an awful lot of assumptions here.

FIFA have already said that players from ESL teams would be banned from their competitions.

Add to that the legislation that the U.K. govt would bring to bear on these clubs and players and you can see that it won’t be exactly Shang ri-la for these clubs.

Take off the blinkers, take a deep breath and stop spouting the media driven mantra.

Prem league and CL will manage just fine without these scum clubs

ESL hasn’t gone away and no legislation has been enacted.

To be honest, I think it is only legislation that will stop it, so hopefully it happens soon. It’s a different situation then.

ESL has gone away for the Prem six clubs - If they try it again, the Govt will pass legislation that effectively halts transfers of foreign players and will also tax these clubs out of existence.

No legislation yet but the threat and the means are there. So the dream is over for the scummy six.

Those six clubs are still members of ESL. Perez has said none have left. It’s just parked for now.

The threat of legislation is what has made them pause for thought, but it is not dead yet. The threat is still real and present.A battle has been won, but not the war.
