What's the reason ?

Are we aiming too high in the calibre of player?

As a club , without European football are we not attractive enough ? ( Don't but @The Esk Northern powerhouse theory - apart from sounding far too George Osbourne it is just implausible )

Are we offering poorer terms than our competitors ?

or is it because Elstone is in charge of negotiations ?

If we really have the money that @The Esk says we have it makes no sense.

we've been crap for years , badly run by utter beauts and you expect us to find it easy to CONVINCE Big name players to come to us just like that ? Sadly it doesn't work like that .

Maybe it shows the need for a Director of Football, I believe Koeman has always worked with one.
It begs the question, if we have agreed a fee for the player, and terms with the player, why no medical ? Witsel being the player in question.

Arsenal, Chelsea & Spurs have so far only bought one main player - Ok Spurs about to buy that striker but there are still other clubs that have yet to buy anyone. This is going to be like waiting for a bus - you wait ages and then 3 come at once
