Everton Youth Teams Thread

*Everton stream youth cup game

*Everton win

*Person who didn't bother to watch but will watch Levante vs Ibiza: "So who is good then? Who can play against Forest?"
Come Monday after the usual 2 mins clip of this match and unless Beto or Barry score hat tricks it’ll be “ Been saying all season that Graham should be starting for us “

Could be at any of the 3 - WHP, Goodison or BM.
They played ties at Goodison & WHP last season.
Personally I'd be surprised if they opt to open BM.
I suspect you’re right, but we should suck up any cost or inconvenience and get these kids playing at HD. These are the kind of things which say we’re serious about developing young talent , catch the eye of future young signings and help us retain the likes of talents like Olayiwola, Nsangou , McEveley etc

Speaking of McEveley, I was harsh on him yesterday, but that’s only because kids playing up should IMO have larger expectations put on them. Did anyone else just think he’s not a defender though? Looks more like a defensive mid.

Fair enough but I hope it is at Goodison Park—- easier for me and also I have many memories of past FA youth games there.

I was the opposite, I thought he did really well, was winning all the headers that came at him in the middle of the pitch , looked composed enough on the ground and was comfortable hitting long balls from the back. We’ve rarely started a 15 year schoolboy as a centre back before Christmas so I give him more leeway than you and it was thrust upon him in a way due to injuries. He can tackle and he’s very tall, looks about 6:2 / 6. :3 ish already so I think he’ll remain as a CB and hopefully put some bulk into his frame . We know he’s been offered a Scholarship, no real surprise there, and there are obvious flaws in his game particularly around the goals scored but I was impressed with him.
