Everton Youth Teams Thread

A few young Blues in action over the International break. Jack Patterson looks like he could be a good midfielder but so far he’s not really stepped ahead of the likes of Matt Apter and Calum Bates. Good performances at this level for NI should see him promoted to their u21 team , one to watch with interest.

Jarrad Branthwaite: Luxembourg U21 v England U21, UEFA U21 EURO Qualifier (5pm)

Zan-Luk Leban: Slovenia U21s v France U21s, UEFA U21 EURO Qualifier (5pm)


Tuesday 12 September

Youssef Chermiti: Portugal U20 v Romania U20, U20 Elite League (7.30pm)

The U19 finals are in Belfast next year so Northern Ireland are automatically qualified. With this in mind I think Gareth McCauley the new Gaffer will be allowed to hang onto his strongest possible team in the build up to the tournament
 
Anyone got a view on Jack Tierney ?
Currently injured. If you read the article suggesting he’s the next Branthwaite , well let’s just say it’s a tad over the top , he’s nowhere near where Branthwaite was at the same age . Having said that , I’d say he’s the best of our young centre backs , I’ve reasonable hopes for him 🤞, but give hima chance first to come back from his injury before we overhype him.

So not quite another Branthwaite...i'll settle for a Baresi then.
