Everton Youth Teams Thread

Are we fire selling any prospect out of the academy now. I didnt think my opinion of this club could be lowered after the end of the season. We're plummeting new lows.

Would anyone in the youth teams trust they'd ever get a game under Dyche? It's sad but at the end of the day better to go for something than just walk out the door like usual.

Nah they just have better young players because they can poach them from the best youth systems in world football.

They bring through Fikayo Tomori and Mason Mount whereas we do Mathew Pennington and Morgan Feeney.

Both mentioned weren’t poached - Chelsea was their first proper club.

More than anything mate it’s the London factor. Bigger area and more talent in the pool sadly.

Chelsea are very good at developing young players.

Not a good look when you develop them for nearly 10 years then sell them to a more successful team before he plays a single minute on your first team. The only way Everton is likely going to elevate itself from the relegation war is to actually use this young talent to start winning. They probably invested close to £4 million in training him to this point and that money can't buy anything that matters to this roster.

Chelsea for years now have had a fantastic development centre.

Reece James, Mason Mount, Levi Colwill three of the biggest recent benefactors of that, becoming key players after coming through the academy and getting the right loan deals.

We’re not attractive to young players, it won’t have gone unnoticed to him the lack of pathways for young players at Everton in recent years.

3 out of how many though? He’s joining the cast of five thousand over there. He’ll disappear.

Ironic you say they poach but then name two who they brought through themselves.

I mean we probably havent invested anything like that in training mate.

That fee will probably pay for the entire academy for over a year.
