Everton Youth Teams Thread

Yep. We win PL2 and not a single mention on BBC. RS fluke FA Youth Cup and they actually showed the goals on last night's North West Tonight!

The newsreader was basically wagging his tail as he told us he was so excited!

Unbelievable bias! Again!

....Youth Cup also made Sky News this morning. It’s not winning the Youth Cup that is news, it’s who wins the FA Cup that is news.

The youth cup has always been seen as big thing at youth level, much more than winning the un18 or un23 leagues. Which we have done both in recent seasons.

And luck will always help in the Cup competitions and Liverpool had a plum draw. But to beat city on their own pitch in the final is a good effort.

We all know though, that had Liverpool won the under 23 league. First it would have been called EPL2 and they would have received loads of coverage.

Was at the game last night watched the 1st half, was like watching a younger version of the city 1st team, play exactly the same way as the first team totally dominated possession without creating many clear chances. On a side note the grandson of Tommy Doyle who played for city, was playing for city last night looks a cracking player.

I like to avoid all RS teams but couldn’t help seeing that their U23s actually came with a late surge towards the end of the season. They beat someone 6-0 away recently with goals from Rhian Brewster, Curtis Jones, Ben Woodburn and Camacho, a pretty talented quartet. They would have pushed us if they’d started their U23s run earlier, but hey we beat them comprehensively at Anfield recently .

Camacho is leaving apparently. Think I read even we're linked.

I’m a bit disappointed with that as was hoping to see Carroll and Simms with the u23s on Monday. Unsworth spoke about u23s being jaded so thought he may rest a few ahead of that cup semi final.

1-0 man utd on 9mins- Mellor, man utd player Elanga run on the right, goes around our defender and cut back for a finish wrong footing the keeper
simms 1-1 EVERTON on 15mins tap in,Adedoyin on the angle inside the box crosses, and simms on about the the 6 yard box finishes it

for his 47th in this the 37th game in total so far all comps
