thought we looked a little better today but not by much!!

Dominated the game, made one or two mistakes that could have proven costly, but if we had drawn this game I would have been disappointed.

I felt we passed the ball well, created chances, and defended well, apart from one time.

Howard - Solid game, not really much to do for the goal.

Hibbert - Superb game going forward, although I believe he was left chasing Scharner for their goal.
Yobo - Better, but still hoofing the ball.
Distin - Great game, £19m cheaper than Lescott, good business Moyes.
Baines - Unjustly criticised by a bunch of people in the Gwladys Street. For me had a good game, and stood up and was counted when needed to be.

Osman - ...
Rodwell - MOM by a country mile. How good is this lad?
Neville - Another good game by the captain, really showed his metal today.
Cahill - Enterprising, needs a goal though
Pienaar - Excellent match

Saha - Unlucky on more than one ocassion.

Fellaini - One of the best games I have seen him play
Jo - Not convinced he could be a regular but did well to force the penalty
Billy - ? Needs more than 2 minutes.
 
Opinions on him today?

Thought he changed the game today.

Looked on Kipper when this place was down and agree with this;

To be fair Cahill had lots of huff and puff today more like his old self, but Fellaini showed the gulf in ability as a footballer when he came on. He was the only central midfielder who could retain possesion under pressure in the final third and bring others into the game. We were very poor untill he came on. We had lots of possesion in the first half in the middle of the park but neither Cahill, Neville or Rodwell had the guile, skil or craft to create attacking chances.

To be brutally honest it was all about getting 3 points today before the 2 week break for internationals - we should have battered then in truth, but lady luck was on our side for a change - cue bainesy's cool pen 2-1. I'm happy :) lets push on from here get a couple more signings (hopefully) and get back up the league - where we should be (y)

Hibbert - as in this case - gets blamed for his own mistakes and those of the person in front of him. He followed his man and Osman stood there watching Scharner.

Opinions on Fellaini?

Thought he had one of his best games for us. I don't think we were bad without him, just better with him.

I didn't think it was one of his best games but he certainly gave us something different. Having said that I thought Cahill was far better than he has been so far as well. Nice to think about how the bench will look once everyone's back.
