Annoyingly though, whilst we will hear that they have had 5 more training sessions than us so are more “ready”, all of those things apply to our opposition in friendlies too. It’s always us that has to convince ourselves it’s meaningless. Our opposition always run rings round us and make us look like we have 9 men.
