There was a case in the second half where Krychowiak, who is far from fast himself, ghosted round Rooney like he wasn't there. I like Rooney in midfield, I want Rooney in midfield, but for a number of reasons, I think it needs to be in a 3. Rooney has some significant drawbacks defensively in a deep role that good teams will expose under our current system.

Those reasons are the lack of mobility and physicality of our centre halves, the lack of discipline of more mobile options like gueye and Davies, the not even arsed mentality of Schneiderlin etc.

Understand his defence game isnt great. But it was west brom at home. Also think he would have linked up well with walcott and siggy to play some nice triangles. You could see walcott was waiting for runners and options and we simple didnt have any. Gos we are crap

Crap fullbacks and diabolical midfield. We won't be any good with this manager and these glaring holes until both are addressed.

We need a firing Coleman asap. We need a new LB. We need to sign a new midfielder. Or if that's not happenning then we we need to back Gueye, one of Davies/Benningime with Rooney in a 3. But I'm not keen on those so ideally sign someone.

Schneiderlein spent more time behind the back four to be honest. He was was going to extreme lengths to avoid having to receive posession

Everton had 57% of possession yesterday, so somebody must have had the ball.

Does anybody have the statistics? Apparently, Martina had the most touches in the first half.

Small point, but one which I think is indicative of a much bigger problem at Everton and this group of players.

When we equalised on 70 minutes - the players celebrated like they'd just got a last minute winner.

At home against West Brom, when you pull it back to 1-1 "Winners" grab the ball from the back of the net and get on with it, Everton go sliding on their knees at the corner flag.

Holgate and Williams were left to bring it out from defence by themselves prior to the Rooney sub. Embarassing tactics and lack of bottle from Schneiderlein

This was mentioned by various pundits.

It would appear that Allardyce was the only person watching, who couldn`t see it.

Makes you wonder what`s the point of having Shakespear and his ear piece up in the stands giving instructions to the crook.

You have no idea what kind of fan I am.
I complain when we play awful football and eek out lucky draws with west Brom at home and muster 2-3 shots on target over 3 games.
We aren't picking up points.
Take the blinkers off.
We aren't creating chances because we play too safe and your solution is to have a go at one of the few players that doesn't do that.

Its not me that needs to take the blinkers off.

I don't want to make any defence of fraudulent Sizeable Samuel, but I do doubt that the tactics were for Schneiderlein to hide behind Rondon and to immediately knock it back to Williams on the odd occasions he received possssion.

I noticed this too.

There were 2 players who didn't.

Theo Walcott
Mason Holgate

Our newest signing and our youngest player.

Another one when McCarthy has his leg hanging on by a strand, captain fantastic Ashley Williams couldn't even be arsed sprinting over to him. In fact it took him 10 seconds to even acknowledge something was wrong, despite Rondon and Pickford waving their arms all over the place. Funnily enough, the first outfield player on the scene was Schneiderlin, despite Williams the captain facing McCarthy and being miles closer. Then when on the floor being treated by the medical staff, only Williams and Schneiderlin were standing next to him.

Some togetherness in the squad eh?
