All our games are going to be tough now, including this one. Anyone who thinks we'll breeze through this one is being hugely optimistic. If we apply ourselves as a team as we did in the first few games, we should win, however a repeat of last weeks limp effort will make it a squeaky bum game.
This. We don't have the quality, throughout the squad to simply roll teams. In fact, very few in the PL do, especially given the fact that every team in the PL can truly win on any given day.

Hopefully the lads can bounce back tomorrow

Tom Davies to give a top performance

Richarlison to net alongside Rondon up front

Keep King out!

2-0 victory

Fascinating game, this, because it is a massive test of both the squad and the manager. Watford were woeful last week and are shorn of confidence. I sympathise with Benitez as he is missing too many of his better players, but he'll still be hopeful of working the oracle to win this. His problem is that he cannot rely on the squad. Tom Davies, Alex Iwobi, Ben Godfrey, etc., are utterly unreliable. And are they really a better standard of player than Watford has? If we are to collapse simply because we lose DCL, Mina, and Doucoure - important players all, for sure, but indispensable? - then we really are an indictment of Marmageddon Brands.

Coleman Holgate Keane Godfrey
Andros Alan Digne Gordon
Gray Richarlison

Please No Rondon Rafael. He looks like he need a rest

The press conference today was poor from a journalist point of view. The first question should always be “what is the team news” whereas today, they asked about individual players to the extent that we only found out about Mina being out by chance
I expected the very 1st thing to be about Newcastle, its rare the 1st thing asked is anything about us, or feels that way
