This is what football is really about. Absolute melts who have converted their mother's attic room into a "studio" so they can spend all week filming themselves taking uninformed, inane chuff about the tactical implications of deploying a trequartista as part of a gegenpressing approach, only to then turn into potty-mouthed 14 year-old wannabe gangsters when they lose. Arsenal fan tv is still my favourite, but they're all delicious.
Fantastic stuff.

This is my first chance to comment. I was watching a stream on the computer and when it finished was so knackered went to bed. Then today was shopping and in the afternoon hours sorting out a computer problem.

So a great match to watch, awful defending, super attacking from both sides. But a smashing win.

a couple of points:-

1) Siggy should not have been operating as a CB.
2) Carlo should have stuck to the Wall, play Digne as LWB or hold back on bench.
3) all our goals were shots no headers.
4) Siggy should have passed to Richie for a hat-trick chance and not be greedy.
5) our winning surely qualifies as one of the goals of the season.

On to the next.

Totally agree with you there, been a revelation.

He looked really out of sorts from the whistle yesterday. I wonder whether Ben Godfrey is starting to scare him a bit for his place. He was 'dropped'/rested for the Leeds game wasn't he?

Hope he rises to the challenge, rather than shrinks
Def mate.
He wasn’t as assured but the defending in general from both teams was quite erratic.
he does seem to be the one that Carlo rests atm so maybe there’s a reason behind that? Not sure tbh but he does seem to thrive when we’re set up to defend and has even been making marauding runs up field and spraying passes. Coming towards his peak years now.

what a match though!
And we actually won!

Weird game :) was like most on here after 20 mins expecting the worst and slagging the team off as bottlers...then all throughout the game expected the worst - is it because of the years of misery and disappointment? Liverpool fans are the exact opposite and expect to win all the time. Couldn't bring myself to watch most of the second half but bizarrely watched all of extra time! as long as we don't get City in next round now ...
I dont think you can compare us to Kopites. Their "expectancy" means theyre prematurely turning gangster on Jurgen Klopp and their team who got them their first Premiership title. Then us.... moaning after we go one down at home in the first ten minutes. Bit of a difference fickleness-wise

To be fair, Klopp football has a shelf life. It wears players out.

Football fans are fickle. I know I am. I was among thousands berating Bernard last night right up to the moment he scored the winner.
It doesn't really matter though, does it? It would be very boring if we all stuck to our guns the whole time. And I don't suppose he's worried as he stuffs his wages into his Porsche.

Bit frightening that several other clubs in the 5th round made up to 7 changes for their FA cup tie. We barely scraped up a team with few on the bench. We go again on Sunday with whoever is left fit. Gomes, Rodrigues , Allan and now DCL if all unfit is not good. We battle on against the odds so maybe any criticism in the next few games should be sparing.

Yeah he's a lot better when he's got two midfielders in front of him and is allowed to drop back and defend the edge of the area/6-yard box. I hope he continues his good form and genuinely think he deserves to be on the plane to the Euros based on some of his performances.

And what a match! How good have we been attacking this year? Would love to see some stats on how many times we have scored 3 goals or more compared to other seasons...

For all the talk of cantenaccio, we do link defence and attack nicely
