I don't know about Coleman's ability as a defender but he seems to be the most incredible person in the world at turning tony hibbert into the perfect defender who does no wrong.
If only we'd realised sooner.

They weren't that good chances, though. Heitinga's bunch were all better.

Be honest, you cant have a much better chance to score than a one on one, and they had three in the first half, we got out of jail big time today thanks to a couple of class finishes. It made me realise how much we have advanced in such a short space of time when Saha and McFadden were warming up on the touchline today and some on here are complaining that Jelavic has only scored 5 in 11.

were we any good? was there much of an atmosphere coming from our end? I slept through the game because I am an awful excuse for a supporter and can't handle the session

No. It's actually much simpler than that.

Tony Hibbert is a better defender than Seamus Coleman.

See?

I'm not even 100% sure that's true.

Hibbert has just as many horror defensive moments as Seamus does except Coleman is still learning.

And obviously Coleman offer a hell of a lot more going forward.

People make too big a deal about Seamus' defensive frailities if you ask me. All our players get done on occassion, we just examine him with a fine tooth comb for it.

You don't often hear people criticizing Baines for being beaten or losing his winger, but he does it a wee bit. If Coleman does it though, he's GASH.

They were in the second half though, weren't they? The one Howard saved from Sessignon early on was better than any of Heitinger's, he really should have scored it. Johnson did score his, making it a better chance in my book.
