I'm not a fan of possession football, the reason why to be successful playing these tactics the centre defenders need to be comfortable on the ball. Our defenders are not comfortable on the ball. You also need somebody in midfielder capable are performing defence splitting passes from midfield, Barkley has lost that ability and jut passes the ball sideways now. You also need a great striker somebody like Suarez who create something out of nothing we don't have that. Bring in Billic.

....Barkley and Naismith were poor today. Barkley spent half the 1st half running off to get his nose looked at. Real lethargy all over the pitch. For me, Baines was the only one with a bit of zip. Stones struggled with a knock but it is good to have him back.

The referee was dreadful, totally inept. Saying that, I thought he got their penalty right, as soon as McCarthy didn't get to him outside the box I said "trouble" to Little Eggs and the inevitable happened. Bad miss by Mirallas right on half-time but again we didn't really create, lots of huff and puff but we were tailor made for them today.
