Pienaar was horrid, so was Osman and Mirallis. McCarthy very poor. Good games? nobody really. Spurs were as toothless as us. Disappointed really...0-0 was the right result for a ****e game

Pienaar was class on the ball I thought. A few iffy backheels but never let Spurs intimidate him while in possession, as others did.

Listen, Spurs are quality - vastly improved outfit from last year. We had a poor start but over 90 minutes we were by no means shown up. We'll challenge the top 4 this year.

Your definition of complete failure is dramatically different to most people's I think.

Ok mate, but that's fine, because you completely get the jist of what I am saying. I.e. that for large parts of the game we were outplayed by our opponents, despite having a full-strength (excluding Gibson) squad to choose from and being at home.

In that regard, I think we completely failed to show what we are capable of. If Spurs' striker had been bothered today instead of strolling around doing nothing, they might have been out of sight by half time.

The knee jerking on this forum will never cease to amaze me. We were poor first half but improved second and showed we are an equally good team. Both teams cancelled each other out and was it was going to be extremely difficult to win the game for either side. Quite a positive day in the end I thought, Barkley made a huge difference when he came on and will start the next game. We're two points off second still and that is more than anyone hoped for at the start of the season

Outclassed and completely failed. ...the description of a game of two halves by teams sharing the points.

Laughing.

I'd hate to hear how you two chuckleheads would describe a defeat.

No mate, we were completely outclassed and are utter failures.
