Opportunity lost, how Osman could be preferred to Barkly baffles me. I suppose it is on the back of the previous match.

IMO Osman should not be a starter but kept as a bench player to be put on.

One point better than nowt but shoukl and could have been 3.

I'm finding your posts a bit confusing.

It isn't a secret. I haven't said it is. I was drawing attention to the fact that Spurs did it and snuffed out everything we did. We knew they would do this and didn't have an answer. This has been the case in large parts of the last few games and I was originally saying that unless we've got an answer in games, we're going to make things a tad difficult for ourselves, especially against good teams like Spurs.

How do you mean "simplifying things too much"?

It worked for Spurs because they have the players to carry it out

I honestly think 90% of teams in this league try it and we have the players to pick them off

Outclassed.

I guess the difference is, with Moyes, he'd be in your faces against a 'big team', Martinez approached it like a normal game, which in no disrespect to Martinez, never worked today.

Wasn't helped by a shocking refereeing effort ruining our game.
I was happy to see Barkley start on the bench, because, let's face it, he needed a kick up the arse, or a rest at least, and hopefully that dropping will see him better!

They had the better of the first we had the better of the second. Neither side played well and neither had many proper chances to score.

Dunno how you think we where outclassed.

It's not that difficult to solve really and theres no tactical change or "answer" as such. We need to be more accurate in our passing and also more options need to be provided by the forward line. I think our biggest problem so far this season is the movement as too too often Jags, Distin, Barry and McCarthy look frustrated passing it sideways after looking and waiting for something further ahead. Sometimes this clicks and we look really good but Lukaku and Mirallas in particular need to be much more mobile. Jelavic seems a very bad player but even he actually was playing off the shoulder and looks to make some runs behind.

Worst half of football we've played...outclassed though? Hardly.

Worst I have ever seen. We didnt put a foot right in the first half. They didnt do much either though.

Just a few thoughts on today. I see Osman is getting a lot of stick, fair enough but Pienaar was worse I reckon. He was terrible. Mirallas did next to nothing again too.

I reckon we are just as good as Spurs though. I dunno why some people are acting like Barcelona came to town today or something.

First half was poor and spurs looked the better side, second half I thought we controlled for the majority. I would say the two sides are pretty even.

We got outclassed first half. It was shambolic.

Agree with the first bit. They looked a different class and I was happy to go in level. Shambolic is harsh though. Credit to Spurs for the tempo they set which isn't something you normally equate with them. Credit to our lads too for turning it round. Poor game really but we came away with a point.
