Thought Pienaar was our best today, only creative outlet on the pitch, even if he does spray a few...
Having said that, we got nothing from the ref, absolute load of **** some of those decisions.

Agree that Deulofeu should start next game.
I love Mirallas, but he was no where to be found today, really disappointed with him.
Barry class again, and pleased for Barkley that he didn't kick up a fuss about being dropped, and just got on with it.
Good lad.

When none of your 3 attacking midfielders turn up you know it's gonna be tough. I think that says a lot about the game, none of osman, pienaar and mirallas could keep the ball in the final third which is why we were under such pressure first half. Seeing Baines a half dozen times in that first half arms out looking for options was disappointing. Spurs pressed us well but it showed when ross and gerard came on that a quicker tempo had them on the back front.
The plus from this is we kept a clean sheet against a good side and as said we're still on a learning curve which will show up more against tougher teams. Barry and Jags were our best players for me. Hopefully ross back in the side next week and one of pienaar or kev dropped for gerard cos they need a kick up the arse.

Love how Osman gets shredded on this place when Pienaar, Mirallas, even Lukaku were gash first half, our midfield was getting bypassed and the centrebacks looked shaky. But let's not criticise the team as a whole though. Let's just rip Hibbert, I mean Osman.

Any normal footballer in Osmans position would have seen it as a chance to put himself in the managers thoughts, what a ****house performance that was from him.

The sound of knees jerking is deafening.

Imho, Spurs have a much stronger team than us. They have just pumped 80m into it like.

A disappointing performance yes, but a bad result not at all.

Lets hammer Palace.

...that's an example of being 'damned by faint praise'.

Errrrrm think your overeacting a bit their mate, from all ive seen theirs been more people saying pinnear and mirrales where gash today than leon, then again suppose you just see what you wanted to and ignore whats said

The league has us sussed now.

Get right at us and we can often turn to absolute sh*te in midfield and the final third. Spurs shut us down and proved we really aren't all that when it comes to playing under pressure as we handed them possession time and time again. We need to improve in that department urgently. Every time we got near the final third they put the pressure on and waited for the mistake. Absolute child's play for them.

That's quite a string of games now where we haven't played particularly well. Until we scored at Villa we were poor, Hull could have beaten us on our own patch, City swatted us aside and now Spurs will be kicking themselves for not being better in the final third themselves and taking more from the game. It's all well and good playing a bit of ole football against Villa in stoppage time when we're 2-0 up and they're waiting for the final whistle. We need more from Baines, Pienaar, Mirallas Coleman and Barkley/Osman who are supposed to be supplying that quality all game.

Lukaku was poor overall as well today. Disappointed in him.

How can you say that after we came out and took the second half? Doesn't make sense.

in any case, every team will be 'worked out' eventually. The trick is to do what you do better than before and add new dimensions...which will come in time. Martinez will unpack a bag of tactical tricks as he goes along.

correct.

It was poor stuff from our initial front 4. Barry/McCarthy did well again, as did the back four and Howard defensively.

I'm happy with the point, so long as we get a decent result against Palace to set us up nicely for the big one.

Friend was shocking.

Just a boring game really. Spurs will get better as the season goes on, the fact they've amassed so many points already playing the way they are will be a massive bonus for them.

As for us, Pienaar and Mirallas just aren't in good form so that really limits how much of a threat we can be, especially when Lukaku has an off day. Pleased with how we defended and overall a point was probably a fair result.

honestly if you where a spurs fan youd probably be saying the same as we are today, they also lacked any real threat and had no final ball, only difference was they had 7-8 shots from ranged on target that never looked like going in
