Am just prepping for a nice roast lamb dinner. Early to bed after that and then up at 2.30 in the morning to travel 12,000 miles via internet) to Goodison Park. Very excited and optimistic.

...Historically, such feelings do not auger well.

very very tough game this .... sandro is a tough nut in the center , vertonghen soldado eriksen and paulinho look class , sigurdsson can score goals , lennon and townsend are both a livewire , walker is a handful .

on the flip side chiriches looks crap and a definate weak link.

if we win then we would deserve to be second in the prem on merit .
but we will need to be at our best in every postion and on top of that have a bit of luck.

................howard
coleman jagielka distin baines
mirallas mccarthy barry pienaar
................barkley
.................lukaku

nailed on subs naismith (mirallas) osman (barkley) kone (lukaku)

2-2 draw with howard having a shocker for both there goals and us fighting back to get a point , lukaku and kone scoring.
game finishing with both sides happy as if they won.

Spurs are a good team who should be looking to break into the top 4 this season (as should we), certainly nowhere near the title challengers some made them out to be at the start. No reason we can't win this game.

Agreed. Spurs have 9 goals in 9 matches and 3 of their wins have been 1-0 from pens (2 of them late). We should be going into this with all the confidence in the world being at home and won 5 of 6. 2-0 Everton (Lukaku, Mirallas)

Without reading a word of what anyone else has said this is a game we can definitely pick up 3 points from.

They're due a defeat considering how average they've been and Saldado won't cause any problems for our centre halves.

I'd probably go unchanged if I was Martinez, the temptation is to shoehorn Osman in there but I don't think he'll do that at the expense of Barkley.

Watching MOTD recorded from last night.

This is exactly what Lineker said about MOTD2:

"There is also the rather large matter of the first Welsh derby in top flight history as Cardiff host Swansea. Everton - Spurs is the other game."

You couldn't make it up !! :@

On Breakfast this morning, it was 'Spurs would go second today if they win at Everton', completely ignoring the fact that if we won we would also go up to second.
