He may have been training but he will need time to get up to speed , so dont think he will start the Southampton game.
I'm sure i read Silva will have a pre season program for the new (late) players.
I can see him on the bench for the weekend with Zouma starting...

Certainly a more physical and direct team to Wolves. Can expect them to counter quickly utilising their fast wingers with support from full backs should we overload. They aren’t as weak as people think and have enough quality to finish comfortably just outside the top ten and Hughes could achieve that provided he gets them scoring as that still remains their biggest problem.

Think they will try and starve us of playing through the middle and force us outwide and in Lemina and Romeu they have two decent midfielders capable of playing well, however Lemina does tend to try and complicate matters so hopefully we can take advantage of him leaving Romeu exposed in a midfield two - should they stick with the same formation.

Fair amount of height in that defence to combat the crosses. As any team managed by Hughes we will likely see a team play for the draw and look to disrupt our flow from the off.

I think we will win 2-0. Clean sheet aided by their lack of adventure more than solid defending.

TBH we all know it'll be 3-0 and an Ings hat trick.

Hahahaah my head would explode if we let these cretins embarrass us again.

Keane needs to watch last seasons again and get fired up to deliver some revenge.
I genuinely see them as easily relegation material. Them, Cardiff and Huddersfield. Might even bet on it. They are awful. If we don't spank them by at least three clear goals it'll be a terrible result.

their team is pretty awful bar the odd player

absolutely no reason why we shouldn't slot a few past these, these are the type of games fat sam would have us winning 1 or 2 nill ( I know we drew with them last season but that was a nothing game ) so lets hope silva carries on but a bit more exciting

I think they will be alright if they can start scoring. If they don’t they are in big trouble.

Huddersfield will be down there but think they have more than Newcastle, Cardiff and Brighton.

That's the thing. They desperately need goals, but they decided to sign Danny Ings and not an actual decent footballer. Recipe for disaster.

They have strikers that can score - They struggle creating chances for them. Elynoussi (not seen him) but they need someone to create, Redmond is useless.

Hopefully they struggle, can’t stand Hughes after the Lescott fiasco. So happily see him sacked/relegated.

Vestergaard looked a beast for them at the back and is about 6 foot 5. I think along with Austin they'll be big threats from set pieces and knock downs onto their pacey wide players so for me its essential we start both Mina and Zouma to add a bit of steel at the back.

Can see it being a frustrating afternoon defending set plays if we go with Keane and Holgate.

Really looking forward to this, Marco’s first proper home game as manager. Give Seamus the armband. Start Digne for the home games and Baines for the aways. Get Bernard on the bench, give him 10 at the end.

Pickford
Coleman Keane Holgate Digne
Schneiderlin Gana
Walcott Gylfi Richarlison
Tosun

4-0 to Everton.
Any reason as to Baines for the away and Digne for home?
