The last time we played these we beat them back at the beginning of October and secured back-to-back wins, and the situation was very promising:

Played 8 W2 L2 D4 joint 9th in the table.

That was the turning point though. The next 10 games after that:

Played 10 W1 L7 D2 18th in the table.

Maybe we'll see a similar pivotal game tomorrow with a win. ?

Could really do with a player who’s just had a medical sneaking not so sneakily into the directors box just before kick off to ensure the atmosphere stays positive with a ripple of applause. Money’s on Elanga, or Ashley Barnes.

If we got a win tomorrow and then a forward in over the next week suddenly things would look differently. Not rosy, but certainly less bleak.

Lose and we go into free-fall.

As Chico Azul didn't do a preview for this game, here are some old style Southampton photos

used to? benitez beat them 3-1 last season

Mate im going back to the days we beat them 4 and 5 nil all the time at goodison. I remember when they had the likes of andy townsend. Ruddock. Paul riedout....we had them beat by half time.
They used to be along with west ham a guarenteed points banker at Goodison.
