Not long now Carlo lad.

Everton v Sheffield Wednesday is a proper old school match with the purest of cup pedigree, 1966 anyone?

Potential banana skin but one that I expect the Blues to slide gracefully on, just like Tom Davies on his skateboard.

Plenty of rest in the run up to this and I’m expecting a strong team for the good guys:

Lossl
Coleman- Keane- Mina- Luca
Doucs- Allan
Sig
James- DCL-Rich

Sheffield Wednesday are managed by puke football merchant Tony Pulis so we know to expect a dire game plan as standard. Surprisingly weak at defending in the air though so proud United lad Dom to fill his boots.

Is there an official process for if Sheffield Wednesday have a covid outbreak? Do they have to field the u23s like Villa did? Or do we just go straight through to the next round?
Knowing our luck we will be out instead

Anyone remember the epic fa cup tie and replays v Wednesday in 88 (89?). I think there were 4 games, two at goodison and 2 at Hillsborough. I remember a sharp volley special in one of the ties. An absolute rocket. He scored another sharp special in the fa cup semi final in 86. After '66 and those other ties, we seem to be a bit of a bogie team for Wednesday in the cup. Let's hope that continues.

Big unit is Carlo in that picture.

Says a lot about how much fun it is to manage for Abramovich.

Pulis would scare me - like Moyes, he's the kind of guy to figure out how to blunt our attack and then steal it by scoring one against the run of play.

With us being well-rested and not facing a defensive specialist, I think we've got this.
