But then what if going full strength in the cup results in injuries/fatigue in the league campaign where we fall short of europe?
You cant really think like that though, it's overthinking stuff.

I remember when Moyes played a weakened side (Sunderland was it?) in the league to rest players for a cup game and we lost the league game and still didn't win the cup game so it was a waste of time. Take every game at a time and change your team accordingly.

Yeah he put out a weakened team for a mid week derby at Anfield (Gerrard hat trick) then we played Sunderland in the quarter final at home early ko on the Sat and drew 1-1

...just watched ‘Lawman’, a documentary about the great Scottish striker, Denis Law and it was great to see Jim McCalliog being interviewed and looking so well.

Those of my age will remember McCalliog scoring against us for Sheffield Wednesday when we won the 1966 FA Cup final. Let’s hope it’s an omen.

Yeah that's right cheers, resulting in a replay so what was the point of resting players anyway?

It will be interesting to see how Bannon does today , he always looks decent for them at that level, decent passing range and work rate.
Think we will win by a few goals after a hard start .
