Over from Aus for this one.. 3 points is 3 points and i had a ball!! .. little quote i put up on the everton aus supporters page sums up how it was for me !

"Was unreal being in the gwladys when barkley hit that.. didnt know anyone.. didnt need too!"
Pity it wasn't a better match and atmosphere for your visit Mike. Both of these have been in short supply this season.

The fallout from this game has been much worse than recent losses.

The team passed it back to the keeper 2 or 3 times FFS. We played okay apart from that. All kinds of knickers in a twist on this site today.

Don't forget, we were missing our first choice centre midfield pairing and our best centre half.

Btw, Lukaku's not Messi or Ronaldo, but he's got a hell of a scoring record for a 21 year old.

Glad you enjoyed it, Mike.

Are you getting to any other games?

Which, i think, was the reasoning for the boo'ing tonight at the end. Its just so peculiarly different than last season. We had Gerard, sure, but anytime we break, the ball almost invariably winds back up with one of the back 4 near the halfway line and, way too often, even back with Howard. Its so frustrating, it has to be something he's told them to do because i cant imagine thats how they want to play.
Dunno if you ever read Ken Buckley's reports but his last makes a nice distinction between playing from the back and playing around at the back. The latter is beginning to drive the home crowd nuts. And it is actually really boring.

McGeady, passing the ball directly out of play, to the opposition, tripping up his own feet, and making one decent cross per game. He's nowhere near good enough to be starting games for a team supposedly looking to challenge for the top five or so.
Did you not notice how Coleman was left exposed when Pienaar came on and Mirallas neglected the defensive work McGeady was doing? Their goal, and then the booing coincided with the departure of Aiden.
I agree, he's not the best winger we've ever had, but he hasn't played a PL game for ages and a run in the side will improve his game. Would you prefer Pienaar, who stank the place out during his time on the pitch? Mac scored our first goal of the season and has had assists in the EPL and EL so he can't be all that bad.

As for our erratic centre-halfs, I would play Stones and Alcaraz, they are both comfortable ball players and looked to be well suited when they've been paired
