That Arsenal result has taken the gloss off it for me.

We haven't had the luck this season with our rivals dropping points after we've won games, and it would have been today but for a hugely contentious (how many do they get ffs?) penalty for Arsenal.

I expected us to win, and was buzzing at Arsenal losing, but that decision and their eventual win means it's a bit of a nothing result for us now.

We can't complain about luck. There've been plenty of occaisions when rivals have dropped points and we've simply failed to take advantage.

Because we had it in the bag and just couldnt be arsed running ourselfs into the ground knowing theres a massive game on Tuesday

Not buying anything about it being lucky Arsenal got that penalty today.

We have simply dropped too many points in games we should have won this year. While we could use the "there's a long way to go" line earlier in the season, now, it has caught up with us.

You end up where you deserve to be after 38 games. I've got everything crossed we can sneak a win at Arsenal and my word, how sweet it would be if we go to Anfield and win. But personally, I can't see it. Here's hoping.

Conserving energy for an important match? No point doing more than necessary when the games tied up like. Obviously if QPR would've snatched a lucky 1 it would've been a bit nervy...

As it is, with everton getting a win and liverpool failing to do so, im going to enjoy the next 3 days thoroughly until we get ****ed at the emirates!

As usual, there's a middle ground. Pleased we did enough against woeful opposition (despite a very poor first 30-35 mins) but I also think there was enough sloppiness in the last half an hour to warrant a bit of criticism. Some very poor passes and generally poor control.

Why we didn't make any changes until the last 10 minutes I do not know.

Yup. Thing is, we tend not to do well in these sorts of games, i.e. when there's expectation. We can't accept 6th, it means nothing. Go all out to get into Europe, no point fannying around.
