Gylfi is offside but
  1. He's on the ground so not obstructing GK's view
  2. He gets out of the way and doesn't touch the ball
  3. The shot was deflected so it came off a united player and he isn't offside anyway
  4. De Gea was going the other way because of the deflection and doesn't save it regardless
  5. VAR is corrupt.

Gilfi, was in an offside position when DCL took the shot, the ball was deflected, Gilfi moves out-of the way of the ball made no effort to play the ball, the only question is was he obstructing the goalkeepers vision? De Gea is 6"4' and Gilfi is lying on the ground it's not possible that his vision was obscured as he was going the right direction to save from DCL's shot the deflection wrong footed him, he's never going to save it. Goal should have stood.
His eyes follow the ball all the way into the corner. Complete bull crap.

Souness looks as though his brain has been embalmed. Scraping the barrel now with these comfort zone pundits with their agenda. "When's the Xmas do at The Ivy, lads ??"

I’m livid, essentially ended our European charge with one awful VAR decision - how many times do we need to be screwed by it?

It’s almost as if the number of pots Carlo has won wasn’t part of the refs decision making process.

The ref doesnt say one word to him, he doesnt try and calm him down he just waits til he stops talking and then sends him off. Because he knows he has no comeback. He is an utter non-entity who has just presided over a farce and somebody who has achieved everything in football is calling him on it.

Am I right by saying that because the ball came off Maguire it doesn't matter than Sigurdsson was offside?
Played on yes that rule is still going yet officials today forgot.....
that stupid liner got our right back booked then queried the goal after the ref had give it...
