Glad I didn't set an alarm for this one. Watched the highlights just now, one niasse header wide and the rest was utd having shooting practice. So much lacking in terms of quality but there seems to be a worrying lack of desire that's returned in these last 3 games.

Oumar worked a good position fir himself and got a good shot off in the first half but one of their men denied him with a last ditch challenge.

Well our managers form Martinez to date have some responsibility the way the team is quite simply, after this game which was a real test, it has shown that overall our playing squad is just not good enough. In fact very difficult to actually point to any one who could be described as class.

The negativity on here sometimes is suffocating

Yes, the result was a bummer, but we actually didn't play that badly

If we play like that against all the sides worse than us, then we should be able to scrape enough points to see us safe, at which point we can lick our wounds and have another go next season, most likely with a new manager

The Bournemouth and West Brom matches were far more cause for concern, and if we keep playing like we did yesterday then it seems Allardyce has learnt something from those two horrible performances

We have West Brom, Brighton, Newcastle and Palace still to come at home

Win those and it's 12 points, and likely safety. Those are the games we need to worry about. Man United was always a "free hit" and we had a decent go at them in spurts and were only undone by two moments of pure class from a superior side

Lot's of reasons to feel down this season, but yesterday wasn't one of them. We didn't bend over for United like we did against Arsenal and Spurs. We had a go and at 0-1 almost equalised. It wasn't the disaster some are making out

Are we still fuming about a match we had little to no chance of winning before kickoff?

I actually thought, when I saw the lineup, that we might give it a go esp as Utd had key players out.
The fact that we played defense V attack (ie we defend, they attack) is what sticks in the craw.

What did we do? actually played from minute 70 until minute 78 then gave up.

Just Rubbish
