They were right to - that 4-3-3 before the subs (well, Sigurdsson) came on was working. He should stick with it and practice defending.
Deffo working yeah. How many saves did Ederson make? Just a simple catch from Gueye wasn't it? Surely we have greater ambitions than that?

After Millwall you would just say to every player, your marking a b or c and if they lose you I'm holding you accountable.

He literally drags every player back and for what, to see us concede a soft arse goal every bloody game
Exactly. Weve got a giraffe like Mina marking space instead of someones tallest player when theres others of ours around.

Everton's whole purpose of existence is kingmakers, and giving goals to anyone on debut, we are just miserable storytellers

Don't really know what to think of that, wouldn't really say anyone was terrible just showed how most are a mile off what's needed.

Don't really feel Zouma's hearts in it, far too often he's got times to put himself where it hurts and he cowards out, happened on both goals today, might be a bit harsh for the 2nd but struggle to believe at 6'3/4 he couldn't have wiped out Jesus then even if it ends in a pen we were conceding anyway.

Gana though had a good game just a completely idiotic moment on HT for the free kick, as for set pieces i just give up it's embarrassing. Silva's clearly got a massive weakness on set pieces not just here as stats show it's happened in pretty much all his sides so as much as the players are at fault something is wrong with how we're setting up for them aswell.

Attack wise we're just crap, DCL isn't ready for this level and isn't helped by lack of support or creativity around him. None of the wide players look anywhere near it the last couple of months / all season for Walcott.

Competitive performance from us but let’s be honest is that not the minimum at home vs the top sides.

The takeaway will be another set piece conceded AGAIN - said before it,s all about capability with Silva.
