Getting completely over run in midfield. You have to think Richarlison and Gomes would offer more.

I don’t think any such thing about Gomes, tbf. We don’t have the time he needs on the ball to pick a pass and he doesn’t have the tenacity needed to win it from them.

He’ll get swallowed whole by VvD. DCL doing fine in the middle - Crying out for more movement from the wide players, so get Richarlison on for Walcott and have him and Bernie swapping and changing to give their FBs a nightmare.

Tbh I wouldn't have him playing up against him like a target man. I'd have in false 9. Not point fighting with vvd. Drop in the pocket and hopefully he can pick something up on the edge of a box from a clearance or cut back.

Our wide men need to do much more. Especially Walcott. We need to cut out the risky short or square passes. Their efforts have come from our poor decisions in posession.

The attitude is spot on with tackles flying in but we need to stop giving it straight back to them and hoofing it up to DCL.
