In midfield and forward, I understand the "let's buy talent" thing. Woeful defense, I believe, is contributed to by coaching. Today's second goal appeared to be a representation of same. Simplest of give and go plays defended in the same old Everton way.....watch the ball, miss the man. With 4 months under this manager, how can defense be this bad even on your worst day ?

Thing is the last five league games gave us a decent return when many posters predicted less

By common consensus, in fact 100% consensus from what I can see on here, we are not going to finish any higher than we are right now.

With half a season still to go, staying right where we are is the absolute best we can do this season

Nothing wrong with Wools Tel....been an STH for over 35 years and come from Manchester. It was the over the top Enner appreciation pearly-king stuff that was getting on everyone's paps. That said, I'd rather listen to that week-in week-out than some of the absolute guff spouted by some of the Superfans who sit by me....at least the pearly geezer was positive.

1) Where was Funes Mori for the 1st goal?! How come Baines was tracking Musa?
2) Barry doing his best McCarthy impression. Every other match he's cleans a player out and gets a yellow card! What a joke he is.

Well bragging rights for us Leicester based Blues did not last very long!
That was so flat and just typical...a couple of steps forward recently and then a massive one backwards. Too many of our players want things to be "just right" before they perform and go into their shells at the first sign of adversity. No chivvying each other along and certainly no rollicking each other to do better. Basically hopeless when other team raises game a little, it's always someone else's job to do something about it. Massive changes needed and for me the jury is still out on RK but we have to see what he does with more of his own players in. But he is making rod for own back by not finding a way to accommodate two proper forwards.
We still have a chance of Europa League qualification if a few breaks go our way so every point counts now but what a way to throw away a potentially morale-boosting cup run.
