2nd in the league, champions league next season with all probability a league cup semi next month and will be in the next round of the FA cup! Better chance than us!
League cup semi final on wedsnesday actually lad, then a massive game against United on sunday. We will get no publicity in this city now for ages, thanks Koeman.

That second one sounds like something a fan would say mate..not our manager!
I want him to say things had better change or he's binning the lot of them off.

He's got the power..and I hope, the ability, to change things and quickly. Comments like that don't give me any confidence whatsoever.

Not so sure. Reckon the first quote in particular is getting at exactly what you say in your first point, ie. things have got to start happening as this team needs a complete shake up, and the second is a bit of realisation- there's been too much of an element of coasting by for way too long at this club. Yes, his tactics potentially point to a failing in many games this season, but more worrying for me is the complete lack of willingness on behalf of the players to put in the effort. They showed it under Martinez and appear to be doing the same under Koeman- not carrying out instructions given. By saying what he does in the second quote he's attempting (maybe brashly) to highlight just what is potentially around the corner. And that is, a thrashing, if we continue to sleepwalk through games like we are at the moment.

Well if that wasn't the most Everton thing in the world then I don't know what is.

After such a seemingly positive week, starting with the drubbing of the South Coast Biffs and ending with Usmanov seemingly joining the Walton Globetrotters, then crashing out at home to another set of droogs in the third round of the cup should surely be expected? Yet for some reason it still stings.

Everton. Robles, Coleman, Holgate, Williams, RFM, Baines, Barkley, Davies, Barry, Lukaku, Valencia

Leicester. Schmeichel, Simpson , Huth, Morgan, Chilwell, Albrighton, Mendy, N'didi, Drinkwater, Gray, Ulloa

Leicester seemed happy to sit back and let us have the ball, then looked to use either Demarai Gray on the break or Ulloa to hold it up before building. Whilst we seemingly were happy to pass and probe and probably should have scored with Lukaku missing two decent chances in the first half.

Gray then set of on a sprint that took him spinning past Funes-Mori, Robles had to make a decent save to keep it out. In truth Mori's afternoon was only going to get worse, as if he thought Gray was quick......

HT came and Deulofeu was brought on for the first time in about a year and Seamus Coleman retreating to his natural position at right back.

All of a sudden we looked more threatening, as Geri appeared to want to take his chance. Everton took the lead when Deulofeu raced past Ben Chilwell and supplied Lukaku with an easy tap-in for the opener. Although just three minutes later, the scores were level when Gray rinsed Coleman before crossing. Musa (Subbed for Ulloa) was allowed two bites at the cherry before equalising.

His second goal tbf was a cracker, although the less said about our "defending" the better. We then brought Kone on for some reason and took Barkley off and with that Leicester were through to the fourth round.

Another early cup exit Blues, and our only hope of anything decent relies on the top 6 winning both cups and us staying in 7th. Hopefully this rum mentality will be eradicated over the coming months/years. I am sure good times are around the corner as god knows we deserve some, hopefully with some clear backroom direction it can get rid of most of the cowards we see every week. Then maybe, just maybe we can start to look for a little more than scraping into the Europa on a technicality.

Up the Blues!

jokers...FO Benny Hill..we are not your "stepping stone" and we refuse to be a doormat but you can get your jacket you charlatan

People need to calm down.

This season was never going to be about winning the league or any cups. The more weaknesses and frailties that are exposed at the moment, just as cash is becoming available, the better.

This is good for our long term future.
the year is 3077

Reality check
Seasons over IMO
Continuous let downs
Leicester aren't anything special this season just like ourselves but a home tie against a team we should beat at home ,at home remember, fortress Goodison?
Thing is the last five league games gave us a decent return when many posters predicted less
But as normal "that's Everton "
Roll on August

...I think it is season over. From a positive perspective I feared we could get pulled into the relegation mire but I think that's unlikely now. I genuinely thought we could win this competition but I genuinely thought we could lose this match. I won't be watching any FA Cup action this season.

Don't usually post, usually chilled about results, not that I don't want us to win, just that I've been following my beloved blues for years and I know that they will always find a new way to disappoint me. But today, that result, a new low. How did we lose that after being in control and going 1 up. Saw the disasterous defending from my seat in the park end. Absolute shambles. No heart, , no nois, , no manager......... shocking

Bored of going on about the inadequacies of the squad. See Koeman's comments after the game - just as I had thought, he will grow increasingly frustrated if he isn't given the backing to build his own team.

Koeman's forward approach was exactly what we needed, and was probably the most stern manager we could have appointed.

I'm disappointed, but this is exactly the wake up call we have needed. Utterly glad at Koeman's blunt comments. Out with the old, in with the new - Signings and youth. Koeman is way down on the priority list in the blame game.

..it's all been said. Disappointed - yes. Surprised - no.

Barkley off for Kone says much about our lack of creativity, it really is something we need to bring players in for.

Why do you think there is money? Because they say so?

We only bought with the Stones money in the summer, we will wait and see!
