Hugely disappointing performance and result albeit to be seen in the context of injuries and the transitional period ongoing.

The international break will do us no harm. Silva’s honeymoon period is now over you feel.

The biggest concern apart from the cheap goals was the lack of intensity today and from the usual suspects. We don’t have enough quality so without intensity to our passing and movement we simply haven’t enough to turn draws into wins.

We badly need Gomes and Bernard in there to offer a bit of guile.

Overall disappointing given the decent run of games. A win today would have kept the sense of momentum going but drawing means it’s no better than an average start fitting for a side likely to finish not much better than last season.

Silva has been very unlucky so far though with injuries and dismissals. I’m sure he would also have wanted the new signings in earlier but at least we got them and they’ll come in. Digne and Richarlison already made a great impact.

He needs the whole season to assess and refine, and to be backed for the next few windows. Whilst today is very disappointing, overall things are not much different from where I thought they’d be.

On the pitch disappointing, lack of creativity albeit injuries. Just felt we lacked the energy needed to get that extra goal yesterday. The whole team were flat in possession mixed with poor touches abs terrible decisions when space opened up. Felt we should have ran at the their full backs much more and drawn them out of the steady positions they held - All in their own comfort.

Off the pitch it does appear that early encouraging signs have somewhat depleted but we have to remember the team that played today were not the best 11 we have.

With a nice break here now we hopefully see more of the new signings settling in and create a genuine squad to offer flexibitly.

One thing we’ve not seen so far is Marco’s ability to mix it up, with all the reds, injuries (including Walcott) and bench offerings being inexperienced so far we’ve seen very little of what we will have available over the course of the season. When you factor that all in we’ve started okay but all the signs indicate it will get better.

I don’t think Saturday was anything to lose sleep over. We will continue to leak goals from set pieces until we have our front two centre halves in place.
We are not going to be able to take very defensive teams apart for a while, again we need our top players playing and used to Silva’s system.
Tosun’s lack of goals is starting to be a concern.
We were never going to be able to come out from under the managers we have had over the last while and be a fluid, attacking machine.
