The formation does feel lopsided as hell.

I like three at the back - but having only two centre midfielders and grey and Gordon out wide just feels wrong. Get the feeling we will be exposed a lot in the prem with only two in the middle.

Not bad but not great. Brilliant save from pickford mind you. We have to remember that Kiev are probably on par if not better than us (apologies to the dreamers). Been looking at Gordon more than others to see if the 'Flatter to deceive' is applicable and on that 45 mins he flatters. Straight swap for McNeil I reckon to have a comparison. Godfrey has seemed sound defensively tonight but he has played the ball back at every opportunity even when he has surged forward 10-15 yds he has passed it back negating the yardage he gained. Regardless, Kiev are no mugs so let us not be too negative tonight
