Bill Glazier was the name of our keeper. He was sold to Coventry for £35000 which was a lot for a Div 3 keeper in those days. You may be confusing him with Peter Glaze from the kids tv programme "Crackerjack!" of around the same period.

It's a bad day for us when somebody rates Chamakh ahead of what we've got.

When S'land sacked Di Canio I said Pulis would of kept them up and thought he'd do the same for you, you're doing well but I hope we put some symmetry in your results since you last played us.

Good luck after Wednesday mate.

As much as I hate the cap wearing beaut, he's done a fantastic job at Palace. A dead cert (or one of the 3) for relegation at the start of the season, i'd safely put money on you being safe and being at the Old Lady next season.

I really feel this could be a potential banana skin of a game. Without Lukaku we have to play really well to win games where as before he could get a goal out of nothing.
Although we have beaten Hull, Norwich and Villa all at home in recent times they have all been fairly tight games decided by a moment of genius.

...'crackerjack'. Yep, it was Bill Glazier, I remember him playing for Coventry. I also remember little tubby Peter Glaze with Leslie Crowther (I think), cabbages and all every Friday night.

Good read mate... Will be a tough game! Pulis makes teams very difficult to play against, he will keep you lads up this year I have no doubt of that.

Just hope we find a way through... Must win game for us! (aren't they all)

4 November 1971. My namesake was still playing for Everton and got sent off with Palace defender Mel Blyth. By 16 December he had joined us and scored in a 5-0 over Man Utd.

Double or drop.......where did the time go?

Think we were a bit fortunate to come away with one point at our last meeting, IIRC Chamakh missed a couple of sitters whilst we were very toothless.

You have fabulous fans, both home and away, really wish you all the best for the rest of the season. However, we need to win before going to Chelsea so I am hoping for an emphatic Everton victory but nervous it will be a tough game.
