More than happy with the point today. We obviously can't play like that every week but considering Allardyce has barely got his nose inside the door its a fantastic start that we've made. People expecting us to take the game to them today are absolutely delusional. Martina at left back, a young lad at right back, a very defensive midfield and an isolated U21 striker are going to do nothing to the champions even if we did push onto them. Giving room to Willian and Hazard and you'd see the kind of scoreline that we suffered at home against Arsenal.

Allardyce needs time and better players in order for us to turn up expecting to beat the likes of Chelsea at home and Liverpool away but until that time comes, if it ever does, he has to approach games realistically with the limited resources he has at his disposal.

Well done to him and the team today on a well earned point.

The players really give their all for Big Sam. The points are poring in now and no one can score against us. Remember we shipped 9 f**king goals in the two games before against Southampton and Atalanta.

I think when some of our better ball players are back Rooney, Bolaise, Barkley, Coleman and if we can have a good transfer window in January we will really start pushing on.

Feel confident and happy about Everton again. Still can't believe what happened at start of the season though.

Sorry mate (mostly) joking. Still 0-0 gets as many points as 3-3. Won't be happy if it's the same in a few months, but happy today.

Agreed mate. Mostly we just need to come up with a much better counter attacking plan if this is how we’re going to approach these games. Really feels like we’re just hoping for a set piece or a lucky break- which despite all our celebrations is exactly what happened at Anfield.

Hopefully when Bolasie and Coleman come back we have the pace and a bit more quality to counter attack with more precision and success because right now the hoofball and aimless punts are painful to witness and are making players like DCL look like crap when it’s not their fault. Nothing wrong with a good counter- Leicester won the bloody league doing it! Even then they pumped it long but had the pace of Vardy running in behind. We need some of that.

Discontent? At no being beaten every week? At not conceding goals?

Mate, we haven't got the players to play like Man City or Barcelona.

We haven't got the players to go out and play Chelsea or Swansea off the field.

5 weeks ago we were in the bottom 3 and playing like it.

Now we are 9th and playing like it.

We all want fast attacking football with millions of goals scored every week and none conceded, but it will take a lot more money than Moshiri's got and it ain't gonna happen in the near future either.

If you don't like what you see, my advice would be to support a team you enjoy watching.
Shows how good Martinez was that we could goes toe to toe with the top teams and while not always successful we weren't far off.

However Sam has been great so far and with a bit more time and better players I think the football will improve.

When we get players like Coleman, Bolassie and hopefully Barkley back, along with a couple of signings in January, i think we will see a different stlye to our play.

At the moment Sam is stuck with what we have available, but he is making a better fist of it than Koeman or Rhino did.
