The purpose of the protest is to highlight to the world how the club has either stagnated or actively declined due to poor decisions made at a board room level.
To that end, a walk-out protest during a live televised match against one of the most popular clubs the world will achieve exactly that.

Also, you would be wrong to assume that lot wouldn't react the same way if the tables were turned.

We are creating our own problems. We want to get better and if people want to protest then fair play to them. By maybe forcing change We will stop being a laughing stock.

No it's not . The protest is not about 1 result.
It's about the future of the club and the shambolic way its been run. That is a lot more important then one result. And most of the players dont care about the fans anyway so it won't make a blind bit of difference to them on the field.
