Watching this now and aside from Richarlison for someone and Gomes for Osman I wouldn’t have a single player from our current team in this. Shows how disgraceful our transfer policies have been.

His hat trick against Chelsea is one of the biggest anomalies I’ve ever witnessed. Always worked his socks off but his scoring record is otherwise mediocre.

Genuinely thought we’d get top 4 after that game. Superb performance, all the momentum with us, but it all went so Everton after that game.

I’ve been harsh on Baines he was truly world class at this point.

This game should’ve been a premonition to the rest of John Stones’ career, he was bad.

The downfall of Martinez.

Honestly this game made his career. It was basically the only time he made tactical adjustments that worked and it was by far his most high profile game (other than the FA Cup final but nothing about that win was tactics). Without this he is done after failing here. Instead he moved to a decent job where it is almost impossible to fail and get fired given the players he has.
