It was always gonna be a tough ask to get any outs from them wasters, They are on such high wages and are such garbage footballers it's near impossible, You have to find another team as stupid as Everton.

Pennington - gone.

It will indeed, I truly believe that we've turned a corner and things are going to get better

Not a patch on the haul of one Richard Wright, late of this parish and one of the worst keepers I have ever had the misfortune of seeing between the sticks for Everton.

I'm still confident there will be a few outs. Hoping to be pleasantly surprised. All it takes is for a team to look a little shaky in the opening few fixtures, and bringing in some new blood can make a huge difference.

Just because we don't think they are needed here doesn't mean they won't be of value elsewhere. There are very few teams who buy 1st choice players from other teams. The majority of transfers are players made available by clubs because they don't fit in with a teams plans. Some of our best players over the years have been rejects from other clubs.

We were only one goal up against Spurs, he was brought on to help close out a tight game.
It would have 3 very different against WBA

No he won't. 6 players for 3 positions with 1 injured at the mo. We're probably in a better position than over half the premier league and we may not even sell Delph.

If injuries get that bad we can bring in somebody from the academy or switch to 3 at the back. Even Bernard or Iwobi can play there too if need be

I don’t know if it was following the greatest keeper ever. But post Southall we’ve had some horrific keepers at various times in goal. Simonsen, Wright, Westerveld, Turner and Baarsden.

All thanks to Carlo. Said it once I’ve said it a million times, if we’d got him post Martinez with 200m to spend what we’ve wasted since, we’d be regulars in the champions league by now. In my opinion he one of the top 3 managers in the PL along with Klopp and Guardiola. Equally important he conducts himself just as an Everton manager should. I’m sure Catterick and Kendall are looking down in approval.

Fair point, but I think there is no way we will get through a season with only Doucoure ,Allan and Gomes.
Selling Davies would mean probably two or more would have to play tomorrow against Fleetwood as we must put out a reasonable team or risk being put out of the competition and that is the way it will be all season
Tom Davies can play cup matches and can come on as a sub if needed in league games. I think midfield will have to be rotated to keep our top three as fit and fresh as possible and have them available for the bigger games if possible.
I think JR will not have any defensive duties and that is the reason for three in the middle, to cover for JR not working back.
If we could count on Gbamin that would be different, but I dont think we can so I see four players covering three positions and I don't think that is enough
