La Liga is played and officiated very softly, I would be concerned about any MF coming from there getting pushed around, especially one that just got relegated.

But if it is a cheaper price (10-15M), I'd take a punt as he is highly rated.

GK: Pickford / ??? / ???
RB: ??? / Coleman
RCB: Holgate / ???
LCB: ??? / Branthwaite
LB: Digne / Nkounkou
RM: ??? / Walcott
CM: ??? / Gbamin
CM: ??? / ???
LM: ??? / Gordon
CF: DCL / ???
CF: Richarlison / Kean

If we ignore the keepers then we 'need'

1 × RB
2 × CB
1 × RM
3 × CM
1 × LM
1 × CF

= 9 players
* Simms can be 4th choice
*We can go for 2 CMs as one or two wont leave

Id say we should be going for 7 players (excl keepers) this window.

1 × RB / CB / RM / CM

Those 4 players being crucial.

Leaving 1 × CB / CM / LM

Im sure we can do something here even if it means selling more players and using the loan system or going for 30+ year olds short term or u21s for lower fees/wages.
I need a glass of water and a lie down
Either that or Zat does

Hes our best defender at the moment, shall we sell richarlison when he peaks too

he’s our best defender at the moment... ignoring that digne is currently better & assuming you’re only talking about cb’s.

he is currently our best cb - when we have 2 fit cbs, and one of them is an 18 year old.

when Holgate was fit, he wasn’t our best cb.

....the point isn’t about selling your best assets, it’s about getting as much as you can for expendable assets. Richarlison is consistently our best player.

Keane has been poor but is currently playing well. It’s a matter of giving Keane a new contract and believing he maintains that level, or cashing in now. i‘d definitely cash in now but I‘m not aware of any interest in him.

Keane and Holgate work well as a pair, Keane performing how he did at Burnley (he’s not just hit a purple patch, he’s playing with confidence like he used to). If we sold Keane we’d then have to sign a CB and hope they can settle in and stay fit (2 things Keane has done now) each to there own. It I think we’d e bonkers to sell a guy whose back to his best
