He's decent. Raw but got a lot of promise IMHO. Seen him a couple of times this season and he's been by far and away the best player in a young GC team. Worth a gamble.

yeah, the wider view is that it's only the mentalists on here that want Howard replaced. To the rest of the football world he's still a reasonable keeper let down by an inexperienced defence.

I think goal scoring midfielder meas they have to be good enough to get into the first team when Rom isn't injured and cover for him when he is. Sort of like Kev, but fit and gives a poop.

People who watch us for 5 mins on MOTD every week clearly have a more informed opinion then people who have been watching virtually every minute of every Everton match for the last 3 years and have watched his performances slide to a level which is unacceptable for a premier league club without him being replaced. The fact that the Guardian lists a goal scoring midfielder as our main deficiency says all you need to know about that article.
