Everton 'too good to go down'?

There's only a handful of players at Everton that any side with ambitions of Europe would touch with a bargepole, so no, they're definitely not too good to go down.

I don't think we will go down. But to say anybody is 'too good' to go down is nonsense, you're only as good as your last game.

We may have a boss team on paper, but unfortunately we're crap on grass at the minute.

Here's six clubs that thought the same and ended up relegated!

Manchester United in 1973/74
Atletico Madrid: 1999/00
Leeds United: 2003/04
West Ham: 2002/03
Kaiserslautern: 1995/96
River Plate: 2010/11

There are a few others teams people thought the same of
Notable mentions:

Manchester City: 1937/38 – Seventy seven years on, City remain the only English side to win the league and then suffer relegation the following season.

Nottingham Forest: 1992/93 –Brian Clough’s extraordinary managerial career ended with failure as Forest bowed out of the top flight, despite including the likes of Roy Keane and Stuart Pearce.

Juventus: 2005/06 – Juve weren’t actually relegated on the field, but off field misdemeanours meant a team including Gianluigi Buffon, Patrick Vieira, Alessandro Del Piero and Zlatan Ibrahimovic were demoted to Serie B.

Corinthians: 2007 – The Sao Paulo club won their fourth Brazilian title in 2005, but following the departures of Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano, were relegated just two years later.

Newcastle United: 2008/09 – The Magpies were relegated from the Premier League for the first time since it’s inception under legendary strikerAlan Shearer.

If you call gut backed with some common sense and statistics a crystal ball then feel free to borrow it.
Don't forget deluded in your mix.
You might think we won't go down but you don't know.
1win in 12 games with 10 to go if we carry on with our current form we will go down

Newcastle were a mess on and off the field.
Leeds were a mess on and off the field.
West Ham weren't very good and sold big players.

Also, didn't they have multiple manager changes within a short period of time?

Not sure about being too good but I do know that there are several sides who are worse off and will struggle to climb the table. If Everton were 5 points worse off then it'd be a worry but there's a cushion which is a far more significant advantage compared to teams towards the top as they win and close gaps much better.

Not a chance we'll go down but that's more to do with how rubbish the teams below us are. It's next season I'm more worried about if things don't change, I don't buy into this second season syndrome stuff that people state as if it's some scientifically proven fact.

As martinez hasn't been sacked it's obvious he will be given time next season to show if he can repeat the success of last season so hopefully he and the players can work it out and reverse the slide.
