I don't think there is someone out there at that price who will be as good because again I think he is really good.

I think the best you can hope for is to find someone who can be as good. Meaning there is certainly a 20 year old who by 23 will be doing what he does even if it isn't next season, and yes we won't find that player.

But you said he was good last time he was in the PL? I mean not at the time obviously, you said he was rubbish, but you changed your mind on him after looking at a spreadsheet and now you say he was good at that point. Well he wouldn't have cost anything like £40m then would he? We probably could have got him for £15m at the most. So clearly these players are out there. We used to sign them, now other teams do. They definitely exist.

Another team that was apparently definitely going to overtake us in the long term. Won’t go full Swansea and Stoke but can’t see them troubling the top 6 any time soon.

Its a cash cow for Mendes and Fosun as was stated on here many times

I changed my mind after actually watching him, I was just going off the assumption at the time when people were suggesting that Aarons, Godfrey, Lewis, Cantwell and Buendia were all worth buying that most were probably rubbish since Norwich were the worst team in the league. I looked into closer and decided they were all rubbish aside from Buendia and I still believe that.

And with that in mind I was saying last summer, before he went and dominated the championship and made everyone notice that we should sign him because of the exact things I'm saying now.

Nar man, 2 at the most for me, providing we can punt 4 of the 1s we have.

Allan, Doucs, Gmblammo, Davies are serviceable.

But none of them can unlock doors.

Davies aint serviceable and James picks the locks
WE need a pacy ball carrier with ability to pass and to score
Barkley with a brain kind of player

Not sure, i watched Maddison struggle up here for Aberdeen, and not a single don wouldve believed he wouldve developed so much within 12 months of going back to Norwich. His final season for them he was top class.

That’s a fair assessment but I believe most Norwich fans would say Buendia has been a much better player in a yellow shirt.

Maddison has progressed further since he left Norwich (he played less than 50 games for Norwich) although he would say Farke played a big role in his development.

Mahrez also plays for City.

Salah and Mane are also weird but I'll let them count and say we should start out by looking for good players even if they don't measure up to the best the league has to offer.

Traore does not score and does not assist so would be pointless signing him

He's not a player I like but his assist numbers this year are skewed by his teammates crapping it in front of goal an awful lot.

Oh don't worry, i've seen them. Along with the ones where you say:

Buendia is another attacking mid that doesn't score goals so pass

We already have an attacking midfield player who is not a goal threat

Not even remotely the same class as Grealish. I'd maybe do them if it would be sub 10m

The few times I've watched Norwich I haven't seen it...And he isn't going to score a lot if at all unless something changes massively about his game

Agreed, but I think not rating them because their teammates can't hit the net is misguided.

And people are going to say I'm doing that with Aarons now but I'm really not, I find it concerning, but I find his performance in the PL the year prior more concerning.

Watched some youtube clips of him.

Supposedly he plays on the right of midfield but so many of the clips showed him on the left or central.

Perhaps a bit like James who drifts around.

If he is doing that then it also reflects well on Aarons who would need to cover the whole right side. With his pace coming in very handy.

Again, just based on clips but could be a decent player to have in the team along with Aarons.

Wonder how much both would cost...£65mil-£70mil ?

He has little or no physicality and failed the last time he was in the PL (Buendia )

I don't really know what more I can do besides say I was wrong before and changed my mind? I've said it a few times, I was wrong before and after going back and looking at him again I changed my mind.

Some of those things are still true fwiw. He's probably not going to hit double digit goals in our team playing how he does but that isn't necessarily a problem especially if Richarlison and DCL are still in the team. He's still not the same class as Grealish but there are maybe 3 or 4 players who are and we aren't signing them so it isn't a concern anymore. I imagine when I said that I was probably replying to something regarding Grealish.
