I get people moaning over links to nothing players like Winks and Longstaff but its as you say lazy opinions on players like Rondon and Ings just because they dont play for hipster clubs like Dortmund or have £40 million price tags.

Rondon isn't great but he's reliable, knows the league, leads the line, comes off the bench and can make a nuisance of himself in the oppositions box which we have no one other than DCL who can do that.

What do people expect when we are skint Haaland buying out his contract to come play for us on a free transfer?

The harsh reality is we are in this situation because instead of signing a Rondon or Ings type for £15-20 million the club decided to go out and lash £73 milllion on Sandro, Tosun, Niasse & Kean.

Only ourselves to blame.

You haven't seen him play for two years!

What are you going on about with Ings? He would have cost around 40M!

I saw the other day he's somehow managed to get a loan move to Getafe and stay in the top flight, despite being absolutely terrible for Huesca and playing quite a significant role in them getting relegated. His agent must be a magician.

Nope Im advocating him as a solid option to chuck off the bench in the last 10-15 minutes who can actually do the basics of a lone target man and actually cause the opposition problems.

Look at Origi at Liverpool - never been a starting 11 quality striker but is big, strong, makes himself a nuisance when its a case of "just get it in the box"

Whats Kean or Tosun doing off the bench to grab us a scrappy goal?

Theres probably worse out there i suppose , 32 yrs old been playing in China , to sit on the bench taking a wage ....no thanks.

Promote Lewis Dobbin ,give him great experience and minutes when Dom or Richy need a rest or come off in a game.
The lad looks a real prospect , and you never know could turn out superb.
He's 19 in January would be a good time to get him in and around the 1st team.

Kean would be far better to play off DCL for a final 15 chasing a goal than bringing on another big lad to lump it into. Kean get the ball and runs at people which causes a different kind of problem whilst still having Dom on for areal threat
