Rondon: 11 goals in 32 games for Newcastle

Kean: 2 goals in 31 games for Everton

Dont fall into the trap that many do on here and form an opinion on a player by their age/how sexy their name is.

Rondon on a free transfer would be reliable back up off the bench and suits the lone target man role miles more than Kean who looks like a pub player when up top on his own.
Depth is depth. We surely need to be signing players. But free transfers should be the least of our concerns (unless we are signing them to mega million deals of course). Rondon would certainly help if we don’t have an alternative.

Don’t need to spend £30m on a top class back up striker. I’m sure there are plenty of bargains to be had around Europe without the need to sign an absolute carthorse like Rondon

How's he a carthorse?

11 goals in 32 games for Newcastle

14 in 27 in China

4 in 10 at CSKA

31 in 82 for the Venezuelan national side.

His goal record is similiar to DCL who everyone worships.

Our fanbase need to massively reign in expectations - the same fanbase who called Danny Ings crap who's just signed for a club with solid recruitment who'll likely finish above the team who think they are better than they are signing"hollywood" names like Moise Kean who no bugger wants to take off our hands.

If the objective is to just stay in the league until the ground is built, as we all suspect, then just come out and say it.

We get our heads around it and move on with lower expectations.

The silence from the club, about absolutely everything BTW is what pisses fans off.
What happens when the ground is built? I don’t understand this theory at all

32, just left China. Sorry he is badly poor I would rather give an up and coming player a go as backup maybe they could turn into something rather than another wage drain.

We can’t be in the championship with that ground.
It’s as simple as that.
We’ve had some proper gash sides recently who were more than capable of getting into genuine relegation trouble.

Scoring goals in two tin pot leagues is not the same as scoring in the PL.

Did you purposely leave out his West Brom stats?

I don’t understand why people think the plan is to be crap until the new ground move. Why not just try and be as good as possible?

Because I have eyes mate, he’s an absolute carthorse.

Niasse scored in Russia, China is a joke league and he had one season in the prem scoring double figures. Nothing to shout home about
