The hope is we will at least get back £10-15m when we finally ship him. He’s been a hideous panic bay, undoubtedly. But the hope is someone desperate will take him.
But it’s Gylfi, always Gylfi… forever remembered as the Crown Jewels of an horrendous season of investment.
Creative midfielder who isn’t creative, can’t take set pieces (including penalties) and is so slow he almost runs backwards.
£45m + 5-years of £125k football = £77.5m + plus the rest, absolutely crab of the highest order.
Why do people think the aim for this season is to finish higher than 8th?

I have a feeling it is possible if we play proper counter attack. We are short of a good right winger to form a lethal counter attacking quartet.
Good, because some people do. Some people’s expectations are massively out of sync with that of the board’s.

We have Benitez because we have no money. We couldn’t pay for a manager like Potter.
I personally think this season, somewhere round 8th to 10th is likely. I’m not happy, but that is the position we are in this season.
Full backs are also a critical part of counter attacking football, we’re missing a right back with working limbs.
He shouldn't have ready made excuses handed to him either.
