Maupay and Adams really are the most bog standard of journeymen forwards.

Both improve us but very hard to get excited by the team if we sign them.

The goal really should be to sign good players. That'll improve us by default.

Merely better than what we have isn't much of a target.

…..my understanding is we’ve paid £10m plus salary. I dare say the Turkish club will cover most of his salary for the season & perhaps a small loan fee (recouping some of the £10m).

it means at the end of this season, he wont ever play 80 games triggering the extra £30m.

I think we'd be daft to let him go unless it's for a decent fee or he really wants out.

Reminds me a little bit of Barry and to a lesser extent Carrick. At least in the way he plays and his positioning / passing
