(I posted this yesterday but it didn’t seem to get through – there was a power outage in Jakarta, where I live.) I’m sure I’m not the only fan to remember the Spinners. Their most rousing sea shanty was Liverpool Judies, which actually mentions the Bramley Moore Dock. Take a listen.(It’s on YouTube with visuals and lyrics). I’m sure our minstrels could come up with some revised words, and the Chorus (Roll Bullies (Bullens lol) Roll could blow the opposition away. It would also connect us with that glorious tradition of our maritime history, what those sailor lads went through.
