Everton Sign Theo Walcott

Starting to feel a bit more optimistic about Everton. Left back now blues and we can close this transfer window on a high !!

I remember thinking almost exactly the same over the Summer, except it was "Centre forward now and we've had a great window" !

I left myself wide open to vaulting in August, and don't intend to do so again this January, well, not unless we sign a really boss left footed full back, a majestic centre half and a superb box to box midfielder.

yeah. i mean he definitely won't reach that figure with us, but i wanted a pacey striker to go with a target man, didn't expect to get both in this window. i'd still like us to go for bas dost in the summer for a big money move and the fact walcott can play winger is very handy too. We do have a range of attacking options now, we just need to know how to utilise them.

I'd love to see 3 behind the striker, alternative and rotating their positions all game, then to bring on players like lookman, vlasic and sandro, amongst others from the bench to keep that high intensity all game.

Fans moan we have no goals, but right now we have players who scored a lot last season (i know in different leagues, but also in europe), we see:

Tosun (14)
Walcott (19)
Klaassen (20)
Sandro (16)
Siggurdsson (10)
Rooney (8)
Niasse scored goals in our u23's and then at hull and now this season for us.

and then onyekuru (24) and (10 this season) to come in as well.

Goalscorers there, we're just failing to utilise them properly it seems.

Because we have an utter Crab midfield behind them!

He started loads last season in the premiership which is a good sign. Maybe Wenger wasn't playing him this year because he wanted to force him out the door. I trust Big Sam and he is very happy with this signing.

He looks embarrassed. So would I if I had to say we have a top manager.
ugh who left the rock loose for you to crawl out from.........be happy ffs he's a good player who's happy to join us. Also the club are putting it out there through this interview Big Sam is gonna get another season.

HAha it's a weird one for me, can't stand the manager or DOF, but the last two signings 'in reflection' are actually for the prices both good and needed ones.

Make a hell of a lot more sense than the summer madness

Honestly mate I saw someone compare him to Everton legend Duncan Ferguson earlier. What chance does he have???

He's got pace, good hamstrings, a great goalscoring record, hasn't peaked yet, come from a top club with a good pedigree and hasn't cost a huge amount. What's not to like?

If we sign a good left back I might just start caring about this season again since we have an, on paper, easy fixture list left. If only we could somehow sneak into sixth since seventh will either be nothing or starting our season when those that went to the world cup aren't back yet.
