Pretty bad. First half no one tackles in midfield so it was basically an onslaught. They got a penalty for handball. It was a bit soft, because Davies had his arm by his side, but we get them given against us. 2nd one was an own goal, Keane desperately lunging in. Third goal was just again because no one was tackling.
2nd half I think we made 9 changes, just Gray and Gordon stayed on, we were a bit better, Gbamin did some tackling and intercepting. But I get the feeling they Sat back a bit. We had a few half chances, the best one fell to Dele who managed to miss an open goal 1 yard out when the cross hit his standing leg and went behind. We should have had a pen for a foul on Gordon, but the ref gave a free kick the other way. They got a 4th goal, which was a nice counter attacking move and a scruffy, close range finish. Last 15 minutes were very disjointed, we made a couple more changes and could barely string 2 passes together.

We really need a number 6, Davies, Doucoure and Iwobi as a midfield 3 doesn’t work. Everything hinges on that.
So the clown-like own goals have already started! Maybe Kean and Holgate want to out do last seasons tally!

...Kean 1 - 0 Holgate

Is the Blackpool game on the Everton official streams on Sunday or is this one not on anywhere? I couldn’t see anywhere on the official site where it said one way or another on the fixture list

Could work in our favour this. If we'd be romping wins with ease...it'd create a false sense of security.

At the moment we're still currently looking like we're bottom 3 of the league. So there's time to fix it
It can only be fixed by bringing in decent players which we can't do, the ones we are linked with will not improve us and by all accounts we are struggling to even fund loans and freebies

Can you blame him? It’s his prime era of his career, why is he wasting it with a basket case like Everton when teams Playing in the champions league are genuinely interested in him?

We had 3-4 years to build the squad round him and push for Europe, instead we wasted £450m on a load of duds.
Wasted most of that before he came. Don't blame him for jumping ship, just surprised he didn't go earlier.

For me it's not about it being a friendly. It's the fact we've got the same group of players by and large minus Richarlison's goals. The same individuals in the team who season after season through their own errors contribute to giving the opposition the ball and giving cheap goals away. We have a midfield-lite and we have such dreadful finishing all round. It bothers me that we don't seem to have a response mechanism. New players is a must just to maintain some kind of competitiveness this season. Because what we've got we might as well through in the towel. It really isn't good enough.

was hoping to wake up this morning to news the plane had gone missing over Bermuda triangle on way back, no such luck! :(

Club's tend to back down and come to arrangements by the deadline day. Always happens as teams need players off the books.

Ad let's get it right....every player linked with us improves us massively. No mistaking that.

JANUZAI doesn't, winks doesn't, Gilmour doesn't, the ones that do we won't afford and bill probably thinks barkley will appease us silly fans by bringing back our prodigy son on a late loan as some sort of incredible coup. Admittedly he would actually improve us but don't want him no where near this club after the way he left us. But let's watch this incredibly vast space.
