Celtic are a massive club though - and Evertonians need to accept that. Can't be arsed with this nonsense of talking them down. Plus, the two clubs are linked. They're the Catholic clubs in both cities and I'm a Celtic fan when it comes to Old Firm derbies or the CL.
Saying Celtic are as big as Liverpool is deluded. They are nowhere close to them. Liverpool are a massive global club.
Celtic are a huge club because of their Irish and Catholic background. However, the standard of the SPL means they are far behind in terms of quality.
Equally, for any Celtic fans hanging around that have been claiming Everton wouldn't be a step up for Tierney/interest Tierney, get out of the clouds.
Everton are a huge, historic club just like Celtic. Not an elite club no, but we are right up there in England. It doesn't make us successful in recent years, though - that is a fact.
However, the step up in a) wages, b) exposure, c) quality would interest any ambitious footballer. I'm not claiming Tierney would push for a move, but if the right money is on offer to both club and player, it'd be no surprise for him to come.
