As a stop gap, I see no problem.

He can run, he can finish, he can be a nuisance, he can play on the left, right or the middle and has Premier league experience.

More importantly, we have shown the door to Tosun, Bolasie, Lossl and Kenny who are not good enough and are giving much needed game time and first team experience to Branthwaite, Simms and possibly Gordon.

Very positive window. I would have liked a rb but I can see why we will wait until the summer.
