KWP makes perfect sense to me. Plays both left back and right back, isn’t over the age of 35 unlike soon to be retirees Coleman and Young, and isn’t crap like Myko. Even Patterson’s future is still up in the air. £7m spread over a few years is nothing.

Low to me.. great player, good age and can cover left and right back.

That’s what really concerns me about him. He has never valued pace and it is such a key ingredient of being a successful, modern PL team.

You're right we absolutely need pace in our team. But pace is no good if the speedster isn't a good footballer as well and just a headless chicken. There's plenty of them out there.

I agree with that, but it was in response to Ward-Prowse, who is an extremely limited/average footballer, with Beckham-esque set-piece abilities. I would be really worried if Moyes went for him.

My one hope for this situation working out is that, by having a DoF, we might still value pace - something Moyes never did. If Moyes' teams had more pace back in the day, we'd have been a much better side.

Would require a bit of cooperation from Chelsea as we’d need them to take back Broja and probably cover some of his 200k a week wages. Can’t see them agreeing to both.

Sadly crocked on our watch so we may not have the option without continuing to pay some wages.

KWP has made it pretty clear he's looking to leave Saints (without being a dick or downing tools) and would get game time at all but the top 6 sides. This seems not to be enough for many, who still think we are some sort of footy babe magnet for top players.

I'm getting a little deja-vu at the mo' and hope we don't re-live some of the expensive mistakes of past years.

Spot on. Walker Peters would be a cracking signing.
